Lilly Goes Greener

I love how Lilly is trying to be very socially responsible. It's very commendable. As someone who has become somewhat obsessed with living a green life lately (sparked by several sustainability and business ethics courses I've taken that have led me to become vegetarian), I am in love with the new Lilly Green products available. Of course I use a coffee tumbler as often as possible and bring my own bags to the grocery store, but little did I know I was doing so without the lovely happiness that Lilly products have to offer.  I was perusing the Lilly website today, as I do almost every day, and came across these lovelies:
So very cute to bring to the grocery shopping, and  so much better than the black bags the grocery store sells.

I already have a Lilly tumbler (in the Trouble Hibiscus pattern), but as a former Florida gal who loves the Florida Gators, I LOVE this new pattern.  I just may have to purchase another travel mug, in an effort to decrease the world's paper cup waste, of course.

And of course every Pandamonium product purchase provides a 10% donation to the World Wildlife Fund.

Oh, and Happy Valentine's Day!

Lilly Knowledge to Share

So I've been having to do some research on a company for one of my classes, and of course I chose Lilly Pulitzer.  It's been difficult to find information since it's not a publicly- traded company, but I found this great collection of articles from WWD that includes a plethora of incredible info.  You can find the link here.

Happy Reading!

Happy Birthday DW!

Last weekend we celebrated DW's birthday with a potluck and a few close friends.  Her mom, brother, and dog Charlie even came into town.
I made her a birthday crown (with plenty of glitter to make it shine!)

and cupcakes to match in her favorite color combination, purple and turquoise.
It was a lovely time. I'm glad I'm past the age of huge blowouts.  Mainly because such a large party would have meant that I would have been cleaning for hours.  Okay, so I'll admit it. I've become a bit lazier as I've aged.  But seriously, 21 is not as spritely as 20!
Now I'm off to retire to my humble couch with my readings and get ready to watch Big Bang Theory. Until next time!
